FAIRTALE HOUSE IN SANTANA:A PAINTING FROM MADEIRA

In a region called Santana, there are these cute, fairtale look alike houses with straw-covered roofs and brightly painted facades.
Even before I moved to Madeira,I wanted to make a painting of these houses, that reminded me of "Wizard of OZ" country.
Now it is a tourist attraction, but long time ago people in Santana were living in the houses like this one.
