A large painting of paragliding into the sunset. However, lately, with all these winds, there are no paragliders around.Everyone is waiting for better weather.
The weather lately has been rather wild, with lots of winds and rain, but hopefully, soon enough it will be more springlike.
This is a painting from sailing series-one I have done last year.Still setting up my temporary new studio-can't wait to start painting again very soon.
Just two days left in this year and is has been raining mostly on and sometimes off. However, ther is a festive mood all over the island and lots of tourists from Europe. What kind of weather do you have in your part of the world?
During the holidays, almost everyone is concerned about eating a lot of food, entertaining and attending numerous parties.
So,eat more fruits and vegetables, like these tasty tangerines(peppers can go into a salad) Bon appetit and stay healthy!

Every Sunday there is farmers market in Prazeres- a destination drive for many ,looking for fresh local produce. It is always quite fun to go ther and wonder around. These visits inspire me to paint few little still lifes

There lots of strong winds and heavy rain at times since last night, but the sun is always shines somewhere on the ocean or some part of the island.
This acrylic painting was not done in Madeira, but it seems appropriate to illustrate today's mood.
Confession-did not have a chance to paint today.
In a region calledSantana, there are these cute, fairtale look alike houses with straw-covered roofs and brightly painted facades.
Even before I moved to Madeira,I wanted to make a painting of these houses, that reminded me of "Wizard of OZ" country.
Now it is a tourist attraction, but long time ago people in Santana were living in the houses like this one.

One of the first paintings I have done in Madeira, mesmerised by its stunning sunsets.I t was a view from an apartment in Funchal, however if you keep looking right ,your eyes would meet a construction site.Thank God for artistic license.
Driving on the old roads in Madeira can be a challenge-steep and winding, but one is rewarded with amazing views and scenery. This is aview of Madalena Do Mar-a southshore village in Calheta, one of the sunniest places in Madeira.
